DAY 18: ELIJAH AND THE ELEMENTS OF INTERCESSION

To INTERCEDE means to stand in the place of or on behalf of another. Elijah the prophet is an Old Testament example of an intercessor. We will trace the procession of Elijah's elements of intercession through Scripture.

Read 1 Kings 18.

After you have read the chapter, lets navigate the pattern of intercession together. At the beginning of Chapter 18 we find the land in a time of great famine. Faced with the overwhelming circumstances we find Elijah connected with intercession.

DAY 17: THE COMPLETE PRAYER CLOCK CONCLUSION

1 Kings 8:28

Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today. (nkjv)

5. INTERCESSION · Read 1 Timothy 2:1-2, Matthew 9:37-38

Intercession is the most intense dimension of prayer. Intercession is God's love flowing through us. When you don't have the words, allow Him to fill the empty moments with POWER!

6. READ THE BIBLE · Read 2 Timothy 3:16

DAY 16: THE COMPLETE PRAYER CLOCK

The "how" of prayer is more than a checklist. However guidelines are a good place to start when we want to evaluate our effectiveness in an area.

Fasting Day 14

Back in the early days olives were pressed to create oil  for different purposes. The first pressing was extra virgin oil, which was sent to the temple for purposes of worship (anointing oil, lamps etc.). The second pressing produced virgin oil kept in the home for cooking, eating and healing. The third oil was used for each individual's lamp. There were no street lights or neon signs to lead the way, so each person needed their own light to make their way in the darkness.

DAY 12: RENEWED DEDICATION

We are now 12 Days into the 21 Days of preparation and we have seen progress. The phase of cleansing is likened to the sandbags on the sides of a hot air balloon. The more we throw off, the higher we will go.

Day 11

Today we begin to pray for Direction and discernment in our lives and Church

One of the questions that is often asked is “How do I know God’s will in a particular situation? In answering this question there are two words that often come to mind, Direction and discernment. In most cases many of us tend to ask God for either of the two. But is there any difference between direction and discernment.

DAY 10

I can’t believe it’s already ten days. one of the things I enjoyed doing as a young new believer was memorizing scripture. This was and still is one the best disciplines that I adopted in my Christian life. I have had many victories as the memorized scriptures have come to mind when faced with a situation. I hope if there is a tough one that you will walk away with from this time of fasting, it will be pouring scripture into your cleansed self through the exercise of scripture memory.
